Nowadays sociologists and doctors note the apparent upward trend in the number of
people with diffrent kinds of addictive behaviour both in absolute and relative terms.
Th article is devoted to psychological and historical-cultural analysis of social regulation
of behaviour over several epochs. Th analysis shows that currently addictive behaviour
becomes the dominant paradigm of social regulation.
