The article provides a brief overview of the logical and philosophical problems and
contradictions in the context of the new realities of the 21st century. Th author describes
the meaning-genetic approach developed in the recent national philosophy, which
provides a comprehensive approach to these contradictions, and draws an example of its use in the study of the Scottish philosophy of common sense.
