DEMONSTRATIVE CONSUMPTION AS A CATEGORY IN THE SYSTEM OF ECONOMIC SOCIOLOGY

 Researching demonstrative consumption in the context of economic sociology, the
author managed to assess the key values of a consumer, to reveal his/her needs, which gave the insight into the understanding of the demonstrative consumption motivation and also demands to the fashion consumption item. The necessity for establishing a human’s social identity in modern society is obvious. This work is aimed at identifying the patterns of consumers’ behaviour changes that occur under the influence of fashion consumption promotion.
