Theoretical fundamentals of creating and introducing distance courses into chemistry
training of students at pedagogical universities are under discussion. The author
highlights the guiding principles and approaches to the construction of a distance course on chemistry teaching, describes the content, methodological support and forms of classes with students in the distance course “Preparing students to chemistry teaching”. The efficiency of the distance course and its impact on increasing students’ knowledge and teaching skills are proven in a pedagogical experiment.
