The article presents the idea of creating films and television of the new type based on the multimedia technology and interactive video. The author describes how a film with new properties will be perceived, what forms the basis of the need to create such a film and television, and which technologies are required to implement the idea. The analysis of the expressive possibilities and techniques of interactive video is carried out. The author determines the differences between this genre and classic films and computer games, and describes the prospects of using modern technologies of interactive cinema.
