Abstract. The article presents the results of a study on the peculiarities of child-parent relations in families raising children with somatic health problems. The diagnostic data can be used in the work of teachers-psychologists with students, pupils and their parents on the issues of personal development of children and problems of family education. The well-being of the child in the family, the style of relationships within the family and the presence of “family stereotypes” regarding the child’s physical condition are important factors that directly affect his/ her health. A group of children with chronic somatic diseases and a group of children without somatic health problems participated in this study. The results obtained indicate a number of differences in the features of child-parent relations in families raising children with somatic health problems.
