Abstract. The article discusses the principles of the theory and methodology of teaching culturology to psychology students, united within the framework of the integrative approach, which involves bringing related concepts of both culturology and psychology into a single semantic field. Thus, the issues of motivation of human behaviour that are relevant to both sciences, as well as the mechanisms of perception that mediate the interaction of a person with the world, can be considered in connection with the phenomenon of mythology in culture, as well as the semantics and problems of the intentionality of consciousness. It is specifically pointed out that the integrative approach principle does not imply a synthesis of sciences, but their relationship, through which the academic concept is built in an interdisciplinary space.
