Abstract. In the context of environmental psychology and behaviour in the environment,
the paper considers the interaction of the environment with psychology and behaviour of
people, as well as the influence of environmental psychology on the formation of spatial
thinking. Education in the field of landscape art is a professional discipline. Spatial con-
sciousness is the basis of future professional competence, as well as the cornerstone of
the creative skills being formed in the professional sphere. It is an important component
in design training. When studying the relationship between a person and the environment
from the standpoint of environmental cognition, perception of the environment, spatial
behaviour, etc., it is extremely useful for the formation of spatial thinking to observe psy-chological projections and logical reactions that people have in relation to the environment itself in various environments.
