Abstract. The paper is devoted to studying the manifestations of temporality in the sculp-
tural forms of the last third of the 20th — early 21st centuries. At the present stage of
development, the art of sculpture has lost the clarity of its morphological boundaries and
has moved into the category of a supra–specifi c artistic structure. One of the factors that infl uenced the morphological boundaries of sculpture was the authors’ creative rethinking of the category of time. Artists no longer strive to create “eternal” works, but, on the contrary, aspire to processuality in the existence of an object, for involvement of the viewer, who is regarded as a participant in an artistic act. Artistic rethinking of the category of time in the sculptural forms turns the material substratum of the work into a constantly changing artistic structure, the analysis of such a structure is possible only if the dynamics of these changes are taken into account.
