The article is devoted to the organisation of the choirmaster practical activity. The
author analyses the collective nature of choral art and considers the concept of general
rehearsal, which is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the creative team work. The
author’s attention is drawn to the specific features and various aspects of the choral
performance development. The article also analyses personal qualities of a conductor,
which are necessary for the successful work of a choir.
