The article is devoted to the problem of adaptation of students to university-type
training, which is relevant for a number of branches of psychological science. The author
compared the adaptation indicators in various universities of Russia and proved that
the system of student adaptation to the university study conditions is due to intellectual
characteristics, personal characteristics, as well as socio-psychological comfort. The
system-forming factor of the adaptation system is the socio-psychological comfort of
students in the educational environment of a university.
