FORMATION OF THE INFORMATION CULTURE OF PRIMARY SCHOOLCHILDREN IN PROJECT ACTIVITIES: THEORY AND IMPLEMENTATION IN PRACTICE, PREPARATION OF STUDENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

The article substantiates the relevance of the formation of the information culture of pri-
mary schoolchildren at the present stage. The concepts of “information”, “culture”, “infor-
mation culture” are analysed. Attention is focused on the fact that project activity is a sig-
nificant means of forming the information culture of primary schoolchildren. The results of
the experimental work are presented. The conducted studies allow the authors to draw the following conclusions: the effectiveness of the process of forming the information culture of primary schoolchildren depends on clear planning and coordination in the actions of students and teachers, and students’ understanding of the sphere of professional activity.
