RUSSIAN AND CHINESE TEACHING METHODS IN ART EDUCATION. THE POSSIBILITY OF THEIR INTEGRATION IN THE CONTEXT OF MASTERING DECORATIVE ARTS AND DESIGN

The article discusses Russian and Chinese teaching methods in art education in the field
of decorative arts and design. The possibility and ways of integrating these methods in
universities in Russia and China are considered. The author approaches the problem
proceeding from the essence of modern multicultural education, which presupposes
enrichment of the experience of cultural exchange between countries, acquaintance
with traditions and their uniqueness, knowledge of the diversity of national cultures in
training artists in the field of decorative arts and design. The article reveals the traditional
teaching methods (in decorative arts and design of objects) of both countries. The author
carries out a comparative analysis of teaching methods in universities of Russia and
China and proposes possible ways of integrating the identified methods in training
contemporary artists in the field of decorative arts and design.
