The article considers the attitude to health of younger schoolchildren. Based on the
results of the pilot project, the authors present the attitude of schoolchildren to health. The pupils note that a healthy lifestyle is valuable and significant for achieving success in life. However, they do not have a sufficiently formed behavioural component in the structure of the internal picture of health. The family forms a child’s personality by defining moral norms, value orientations and standards of behaviour for him/her. The value of “health” is represented in every family, but the attitude to this value is associated with various family factors. Parents, using various methods of raising a child at a primary school age, can create both a positive “image – Self” and a negative one in the attitude towards health.
