The article presents a historical and philosophical analysis of various variants of knowledge ordering. The authors note the possibility of their intellectual fullness and the dependence on the cultural and historical context. The paper analyses the filiation of form making, which is presented in different, but semantically similar concepts. The modern interpretation of the forms of generalisation in artistic and scientific practice confirms the fruitfulness of the recoding of cultural phenomena, the reception of the Eastern culture by the West, and the possibility of rethinking the forms of analysis of the world.
