The purpose of the article was to study the qualities of images-ideas of life and
death in homosexual men. The choice of a sexual partner and the formation of a
man’s sexual orientation affects the way how he can imagine his present life and his
future, including the end of his life. The hypothesis of the study was an assumption
that the images-ideas of life and death in minds of homosexual men have their own
characteristics. To study the ideas of homosexual men about life and death, the
author used: a specially compiled questionnaire, the semantic differential method by
C. Osgood, the method for determining life meaning orientations (D. A. Leontiev).
The research data testify that there are qualitative differences in the images of life
and death in minds of homosexual men.
