The article presents the results of the socio-psychological studies on personalities
of students in Russian universities. It is noted that despite the typical difficulties
of psychological adaptation and socialisation, senior foreign students demonstrate
fairly high indicators of such professionally important qualities as organisational and
communicative abilities, as well as levels of tolerance indicating the ability to adequately
behave in a stressful environment.
