The aim of this article is to reveal the role of master classes as one of the optimal
pedagogical technologies in the system of training students of creative disciplines.
Attention is paid to the basic principles of organising and conducting master classes.
The basic forms of master classes in modern education, their constituent parts are
distinguished. The authors substantiate the effective nature of online master classes
in the distance form of training students of creative disciplines using the example of
teaching arts and crafts and consider such formats of master classes as a video master
class and online master class.
