In the process of development of state and society, the problem of deviant behaviour
of adolescents is becoming more relevant. A significant influence on a minor is exerted
by the family, educational team and environment around him/her. It is in adolescence
when character traits are formed in the personality of a minor and a tendency to deviant
behaviour takes root. The article deals with the history of studying the problem of
deviant behaviour of adolescents. The authors reveal the essence of deviant behaviour
from the standpoint of various fields of knowledge, consider the types and forms of such
behaviour of minors. On the basis of the studied scientific works, the author’s definition
of the concept of “deviant behaviour” is given and the characteristic features of the
personality of a minor with deviant behaviour are indicated.
