The problem of social and cultural heritage preservation actualised the topic of the collective memory of society in the second half of the 20th century. One of the biggest challenges facing modern society is to preserve and transmit unprecedented amounts of information about the past. First of all, these processes affect the young generation, whose historical memory provides the cultural continuity and determines the vector for the further development. Modern youth, viewed as a generation, has a speciűc memory, whose main features are the subjective nature and contextuality. The socio-philosophical study of historical memory in the generational context could reveal the integration potential of memory both in the synchronic and diachronic aspects.
