The research focuses on the methodological basis of the cyclic model and its evaluation.
The purpose of this article is to conduct a socio-philosophical analysis of the methodology of the above-mentioned concept. Objectives: to trace the historical roots and reveal the prospects for further development of the model stated in the topic. As a result, it is proved that, on the one hand, historical cyclism remains relevant and has a fulcrum in the scientiƞc community. But on the other hand, its methodology is very vulnerable to criticism and needs to be “reformatted” in search of a new, more solid basis. The novelty of the work lies in the use of new terminology and proposal of the author’s approaches to solving this problem. The research methodology, in addition to general scientiƞc methods, includes methods of social and philosophical analysis, visualisation of theoretical knowledge, and historical parallels. The results of the article can be used in predictive analytics.
Key words: philosophy of history, cyclism, linearity, iterativity, methodology.
