The article reveals the concepts of emotional intelligence and understanding of older preschool children’s emotions. The definitions of emotions in foreign and domestic psychology are given. The article presents the results of an empirical study on gender features of older preschool emotional intelligence. It is concluded that there are gender differences in preschool children’s emotional intelligence.
