The article presents and describes the results of an empirical study on the peculiarities
of communication in social networks among adolescents with character accentuations.
The aim of the research was to study the relationship between the characteristics of communication in social networks and character accentuations in adolescents. The authors used the Shmishek Questionnaire to determine the type of accentuation, the authors’ questionnaire for determining the type of activity in social networks and content analysis of profiles in Vkontakte and Instagram social networks. Next, the authors processed the obtained results in the SPSS Statistics programme, used factor analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. As a result of the study, the authors determined the criteria for activity in social networks, found correlations between the type of accentuation and characteristics of communication in social networks.
