The article is devoted to the analysis of the main provisions of the professional translation training methodology in the context of the development of the modern system of higher military professional education. The author describes the main stages and characteristics of the training system for military translators at S. M. Budyonny Military Academy of the Signal Corps according to the programme of additional professional education “Translator in the Field of Professional Communication”. The main approaches to training military translators are systemic-activity and subjective-subjective approaches, the main method is modelling of translation situations in the professional sphere.
