The paper is devoted to the crisis of life purpose among students who are in their
ănal year at university and starting their professional activity. The authors show
what place this crisis takes in forming life-purpose conceptions of young people,
and also speak about the possibilities of the university education environment for
this formation. The paper describes the features and factors of manifestation of the
life-purpose crisis among ănal-year students. The authors present the results of the
study on the crisis symptoms using a set of techniques and their interpretation. The
study used the authors’ methodology for determining a subjective feeling of being
in crisis by ănal-year students. The authors show that it is more difăcult for young
people with crisis symptoms to independently understand their own life-meaning
orientations; they often experience difăculties with ănding a job and mastering their
professions.
