Fiber art is one of the fast developing educational subjects in China. In the article this
process is illustrated by the formation of the Department of Fiber Art at China Academy of Arts. The author of the article reviews and analyses the syllabus and the most signiųcant
subjects of the Department of Fiber Art, and on this basis draws a conclusion about the
current educational concept in the ųeld of the Chinese ųber art.
