The article deals with the possibility and productivity of considering mental phenomena
as an “information model of reality” generated by the psyche. The question of the application of the information approach in the study of phenomena generated by the
psyche is considered in the context of the global increasing dependence of the development of modern social relations on information technology, creation and consumption of information. The author considers the transfer of semantic information and the model of two-stage coding of information in the generation of subjective reality. In the context of the discussed model, the question of the truth of knowledge as an element of human consciousness is touched upon.
