The article discusses the epistemological and sociocultural foundations of clip thinking
in the conditions of the information society where virtual reality is becoming a
noticeable part of life of people belonging to different generations. In the framework of
the study the authors pay attention to the problems of the interaction of new cultural and
anthropological types, asociality of social networks, computer addiction, manipulative
susceptibility of young people. The article conceptualises the notion of clip culture based
on the principle of maximum accessibility associated with the formation of a non-in-
depth perception of reality. Particular attention is paid to the substantiation of the forms
of resistance to clip thinking which should be cultivated in the modern educational system at various levels of education.
