The article reveals the leading ideas of subject pedagogy. Particular attention is paid to the difficulties arising in the process of implementing the ideas of subject pedagogy in teachers’ professional and pedagogical activity. The author analyses the reasons that prevent the formation of intersubjective relations in the educational process of higher education. The author also reveals the main conditions for actualising the subjective position of a student and a teacher in their joint activities, revealing their personal and professional uniqueness.
