The article analyses the phenomenological and theological project of J.-L. Marion,
associated with an attempt to reactualise the Augustinian concept of the genesis
of subjectivity. In addition to the phenomenological aspects of the formation of
subjectivity, the authors consider the ontological and anthropological bases of memory
and remembrance, viewed as one of the main procedures of the formation of human
subjectivity in an act of confession.
