The given article highlights the phenomenon of passion in the context of the history
of philosophy. Analysing the role of passion in a human life, the author compares two
confronting positions: Kant’s and Nietzsche’s. The possibility of such opposing views
on the nature of passion is interpreted in the context of the philosophical paradigms’
shifting. The article is of vital importance due to the philosophical portrait of the modern
times.
