Based on the works of Russian and foreign authors, the paper covers the essence and
content of professionalisation of military specialists. Professionalisation of military
specialists is presented as holistic continuous development of their personalities in
terms of professional and personal development, formation of professional competence
and skills, creative attitude to their future activities and well-developed professional worldview. The author describes the main stages of military specialists’ advancement
to the high level of professional competence and skills – the stage of formation of professional intentions, the stage of professional development and the stage of partial or full realisation of personalities of military specialists in military work.
