The paper describes the pedagogical experience of teaching the Normal Physiology subject. The tasks of the study course include forming basic knowledge based on the analytical and synthetical practice of future doctors, their special and professional competences, which can be developed using the problem methods in the logic of the system-activity approach to teaching. The problem methods develop the professional type of thinking of specialists that will be involved in diagnostics, treatment and preventive activity.
