The authors experimentally demonstrate the ambiguous nature of the interactive method
application at foreign language classes for students pursuing their Master’s Degree in
Natural Sciences and prove its dependence on motivational parameters. The notions of
“motivation”, “educational motivation” and “interactive methods” are examined and
dețned. Besides, the main factors affecting motivation formation are analysed. The
researchers provide characteristics of the interactive methods involved in surveying
students. The survey is aimed at demonstrating the necessity to take into account motivational parameters when proposing and using the interactive methods in foreign
language classes. The study results revealed two main problems of the interactive methods of teaching foreign languages to non-linguistic students, and. their possible solutions are suggested.
