The fundamental role in establishing and controlling the international organization “Salvation Army” was played by William Booth, who showed a noticeable interest in the Russian Empire. The paper considers the history of establishing the Salvation Army in the Russian Empire in late 19th — early 20th centuries, and describes the missionary work of the organization in the Russian territory.
