The article presents an attempt to theoretically comprehend the interaction of classic dance and pictorial creation in the context of the style current – impressionism. The material is based on the works of E. Degas and Z. Serebryakova, the two major representatives of French ad Russian art. The impressionistic search in the field of sculpture is also touched upon.
