The article reveals the essence of the concept “socialisation” and describes the
implementation of inclusive education at the present stage of society’s development.
It also provides offi cial statistics on the number of students with disabilities enrolled
in higher education in the country. In addition, the authors analysed the results of the
empirical research on the basis of one of the universities in Russia. The purpose of the
study is to identify the features of socialisation of students with disabilities at university.
The authors make conclusions confi rming the relevance of the studied problem.
