Conceptually, the art of pianism covers a set of special knowledge and skills as well as a signifi cant number of competencies that determine the ability of a musician to navigate the modern music information environment with confi dence. However, nowadays this interpretation does not fully suffi ce the art of pianism, since every artist who aspires to meet the challenges of the time understands that the instrument s/he has chosen is a special tool and a vehicle of creative communication. The paper discusses the role of this mechanism in expanding musical information environment
and creating a direction towards constant renewal, as well as interpretation of the specifi c and evolving cultural contexts.
