The analysis of the main directions of professional health research in Western science
(stress management and management of health) is provided in the paper. It is noted that the first direction is concentrated on solving psychological problems of the negative
impact of stress on workers, and the second direction places an emphasis on medical
issues of maintenance of a healthy lifestyle.
