This article reviews a class of adverbs as a field structure, which has its nucleus and periphery. Relevance of this research lies in the field approach to study of parts of speech that allows to obtain an objective view of language system and classification of parts of speech. Special consideration is given to the periphery, which is examined on the material of Czech adverbs and nouns. The author also analyses and explains the causes of intersection of the fields of Czech adverbs and nouns. Some examples that illustrate cases of intersection of the above parts of speech are also provided.
