The article analyzes the activities of the United Council of Labour Collectives of Pridnestrovie (UCWC), which has initiated and implemented the process of creating a new state — the Transnistrian Moldavian Republic. The paper highlights the stages of social and political activities of the organization, starting with the holding of referenda, conducting elections and forming the Congresses of People’s Deputies of the Transnistrian region until the formation of the main bodies of state power of the self-determined republic, which were conducive to the establishment and further
development of its statehood.
