The paper reviews the notion of “situation” in the linguistic context, which is defined as the complex of interrelated events happening at a particular place and time. The author proposes her view on the structure of events in situations that include both the participants (actants) and their respective roles in the given situation, as well as circonstants. Through the use of the script description, the author provides a classification of confrontational situations.
