The author of the paper analyses the spatial aspect of the external economic expansion of the People’s Republic of China and gives a general assessment of the scales of the Chinese economic activity in the world regions at the beginning of the 21st century. Attention is drawn to the geography of distribution of the specifi ed indicators of China’s external economic expansion in the world. It is emphasised that despite the small size of export indicators, the greatest economic infl uence of China is observed in the regions of Central Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle East and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
