 L. Gumilyov’s evaluation of the Russian-Horde relationships is analysed in the paper.
The position of the scientist can be understood only in the context of his passionate
theory. The article describes the scientist’s hypothesis of the “blows” of space energy
on the Earth, emergence of a very high level of people’s social activity because of it,
the way this energy lives in an ethnos and gradually decreases, and also the state of
passionarity, in which the Mongol-Tatars, Russian people and neighbors of Rus were in
the 13th–15th centuries, and its influence on their relationships.
