Adjoint Method for the Reynolds Equation of Fluid Film Lubrication

B. S. Grigor’ev
Price: 50 руб.
sensitivity analysis of fluid bearings to variation of design parameters. New formulas for sensitivity coeffi cients have been derived. Within the sensitivity analysis new formulas for stiffness and damping coefficients of the lubricating film have been obtained. The resulting formulas are more effective in relation to necessary computational work than the previous ones. As a practical example a tilting pad journal bearing is considered.
Keywords: adjoint method, Reynolds equation, fl uid fi lm lubrication, sensitivity
analysis, stiffness and damping coeffi cients.
