The article considers the problem of defi ning the characteristics of cinematic text as a
heterogeneous structure. It is essential to analyse cinematic text as a part of discursive
practice, which includes the processes of its creation and perception, and as a part of
social practice, which involves its functioning in the interaction with social processes.
