D. A. Fedorov
Price: 50 руб.
The article is focused on one of the aspects of the proto-linguistic exercises of Titus Lucretius, an outstanding representative of the Roman intellectual heritage. The author examines the concept of origin of a language as proposed by Lucretius in «De Rerum Natura», his fundamental philosophical treatise. The author argues that Lucretius’s
reasoning allows tracking down the evolution of the Epicurean protolinguistic tradition historical evidence of the position and arguments of the advocates of “evolutionary” origin of language theory in the antiquity. Conclusions that have been drawn by the author may be valuable to scholars of linguistics and classical philology.
