The article outlines the results of professional competence development among special education teachers in preschool institutions in such areas as theoretical, practical and motivational readiness for treating children’s speech sounds disorder. The necessity of this research is based on specific features of the development of speech sounds among 5–7-year-old children attending preschool institutions.
