The paper analyses slogans in protest communication through the two examples: doctors’ rally against the healthcare reform in Moscow in autumn 2014 and doctors’ rally in Germany in autumn 2012 against the savings bank policy. The research material consists of 105 examples of protest slogans (57 examples in Russian and 48 slogans in German). The author of the paper reveals communicative aims of protesters, linguistic means of expressing these aims, and also carries out a comparative analysis of the material in the Russian and German languages.
