The paper is devoted to such rare grammatical phenomenon in spoken German as the adnominal possessive dative – the possessive construction “dem Vater sein Auto”.
The script of the German TV series “Domian” became the research material. The author of the paper analyses an authentic example from spoken speech, considers the features of application of the adnominal possessive dative, its syntactic status, and means of expression.
